About the Artist
ARTIST STATEMENT
I enjoy merging qualities of abstraction and realism while employing an impressionistic voice that captures both the essence and emotion of my subjects in both my paintings and sculptures. My work invites viewers to experience a dialogue between the tangible and the imagined, encouraging them to find their own interpretations within the layers of color, texture, and form.
Inspired by the interplay of light and shadow, I enjoy transforming the ordinary into evocative compositions/forms that resonate on a personal level. I aim to convey the fleeting moments of beauty that surround us, blending the visible with the unseen, and creating a sense of depth that invites contemplation.
Ultimately, I seek to evoke a sense of connection between the viewer and the artwork, and between the viewer and the world around them. Each piece is an exploration of perception, inviting an emotional response that transcends the boundaries of representation.
